A Not That Private Exhortation

It seems fashionable to say we live in uncertain times or an uncertain landscape. Having faced some degrees of uncertainty and enduring great difficulty I am reminded with purpose and command. Nothing is Uncertain in the process.

You may not know. The road may be difficult. It may take a strenuous effort. Yet the truth is. The process is the same the only variable is YOU, the individual. Where is your faith?

How or what is it you believe? I’m reminded of an instance. After a miracle is performed and a great multitude is fed, the disciples are instructed to head to the other side of the sea. During the trip a storm arises, and supernatural or not – the master is asleep, they panic. We panic. We get angry. We get despondent. We faint. And I would say luckily Jesus was with them (in the flesh). Yet it’s not luck and there are two blessings in remembering it. He was with them and they went to Him.

A Mother's Word - A Mother's Faith

A Mother’s Day Inspirational
Based on John 2:3-5

As a child it can be difficult, to say the least, to grasp the vision laid for your life. Given various circumstances that may seem especially hard to overcome, nearly insurmountable, God provides us a gift, mothers.

Allow me to preface today's inspirational with a thought or two.

  1. Fathers have a say, their own unique touch.
  2. A Maternal bond doesn't just come from giving birth.

These things however not withstanding, the power of a mother’s faith and perception can transform a simple visual outlay, of destiny, into the full birth and realization of a dream.

For the complete picture allow me to posit a verse; Luke 1:31-33

And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call him Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. And The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end.

The Power of Renewed Purpose

A famous film has a line that goes. “Why do we fall? So we can learn to pick ourselves up again.”

This stirring reminder of the journey we’re on is complimented with another thought.
There’s no lying down on the job. You’re not paid to count sheep. You’re here to watch and pray, less you enter into temptation. You’re here to be sober minded and vigilant. You have an enemy prowling around looking to devour something. In all these things, today be reminded. There’s work to do.

You are an employee, citizen, ambassador; emissary, representative, child, steward, liaison… You are here on God’s behalf. You are His image. (Genesis 1:27) You are His body. (Ephesians 1:22) Your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost unto God. (1 Corinthians 6:19) You’ve got work to do. According to the power of the first command, Be Fruitful and Multiply!

In the quote and the thought there is a powerful symbolism for the church and the church body (members). You may not be perfect. Things, situations, may cause a stumble or fall. Yet, you are a work in progress. This means action is the key, in progress.
The purpose hasn’t changed. The mission has changed. There’s work to do.

The power and authority hasn’t been taken away. We fall, why? It doesn’t matter.
Any number of reasons can apply. Ultimately you have (we have) got to get back up. Remember!
You’re on the job. There is no lying down. The text records, Awaken o sleeper. (Ephesians 5:14) If you’re too afraid to watch for the wolves, Be Vigilant, then about hearing the master’s voice.
You’re here after all to bear fruit. It’s your purpose and you are empowered to do so and. Multiply!

An exhortation brought to you by the soon to be released
